How it Started

Sky Mountain Retreat began with a simple weekend getaway.

When our family first visited Berkeley Springs, West Virginia, we were immediately drawn to the unique balance of relaxation and energy the area offers. The natural beauty, the historic spas, the charming restaurants, and the peaceful mountain setting made us fall in love with the region.

Not long after that first visit, we returned and eventually purchased a farm that we named Sky Mountain Farm. After some wonderful years there, we sold the farm and built our next dream on the neighboring ridge — Sky Mountain Chalet, set on 24 scenic acres with breathtaking mountain views.

As our vision grew, so did the retreat. Down the ridge, we built a romantic honeymoon cabin called Fox Hollow, and in 2026 we expanded the property to include more modern A-frame luxury cabins and a spacious family cabin. We have plans to continue to grow the retreat to share the love and peace we have loved about Berkeley Springs for decades.

Today, Sky Mountain Retreat offers a collection of thoughtfully designed homes where guests can gather, celebrate, and reconnect with nature.

Our properties are surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery in West Virginia — from spectacular sunrises to peaceful nights under a sky full of stars or swaying trees.
